LANGLEY, British Columbia (Reuters) - Layers of squirming black soldier fly larvae fill large aluminum bins stacked 10-high in a warehouse outside of Vancouver. They are feeding on stale bread, rotting mangoes, overripe cantaloupe and squishy zucchini.

No we shouldn’t. This prediction has been going on for at least 20 years. It’s a stupid story that exists for the sole purpose of getting the doom and gloom cultists hard.

A good portion of my cats’ diet consists of insects and small creatures. One moth, one newt and one lizard already today. They are constantly trying to share with me but I pass.

Process the insects, powder them, add some additional supplements, can it, and sell it to gym rats and weightlifters.

If so, they’re hypocrites as insects are living animals as well. After all, you never hear an animal activist defending the lives of mosquitos, cockroaches or worms.

There's a winery in South Africa. They have hundreds of Indian Runner ducks that they herd into the vineyards twice a day to feed on the bugs and slugs.

It's quite the tourist attraction.

Yuck. But even spiders wouldn’t be as bad as maggots, I don’t care how much BBQ sauce is on them.

Maggots aren’t so bad if they are in a good sauce.

Oh.

Wait.

That’s carrots.

Sorry.

“As I learned in survival school, a few days out in the boonies with no food and your definition of usable protein will expand considerably.“

It sure will. Grubs ain’t bad if you roast them just right.
