Cohen has vociferously denied the trip and even produced his passport
Michael Cohen, the embattled personal attorney of Donald Trump, has denied fresh reports that Special Counsel Robert Mueller obtained evidence he visited Prague in 2016.
'No matter how many times or ways they write it, I have never been to Prague. I was in LA with my son. Proven!' Cohen wrote in a withering tweet on Saturday.
'Bad reporting, bad information and bad story by same reporter Peter Stone,' he wrote.
Cohen was referring to a McClatchy report on Friday, which cited two sources claiming that Mueller's investigators traced evidence that Cohen entered the Czech Republic through Germany in August or September of 2016.
British ex-spy Christopher Steele's dossier claimed the purpose of the trip was to meet with a prominent ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Konstantin Kosachev, but it is not clear whether Mueller has evidence of such a meeting.

why does congress have the right to give thumbs up or down on a presidential nominee? couldn’t Trump find one loyal career civil servant lawyer in DOJ to do his bidding? why does it have to be sessions or rosenstein or wray?
aren’t all these positions, regardless of title, supposedly working under their boss, President Trump?

Not a crime to make false or misleading statements to the mass media. So Mike’s OK on that score, even if he did go to Prague on behalf of DJT.
But if a federal officer asks him whether he went to Prague, he will need either (a) to tell the truth or (b) to plead the Fifth. Otherwise, he could get the Martha Stewart treatment.
I would call it an authority not a right but it is established by the Constitution Article II Section II.
