"I am not leaving the Church. Frankie will leave before I do. He is like a whirlwind that eventually stops. We just need to be prepared for the damage."

Exactly. Why would I leave the Church Christ founded because of a bad Pope? The Church has had bad (even worse that Francis) Popes in the past and has survived. I too am a survivor and part of being a survivor is outlasting those who would crush your spirit. Francis will someday be gone, and God will restore his Church.

All of our Popes of the last century were saintly and even learned men. We were probably overdue for a stinker.

I don’t think that Paul the Sixth would be included in that category of saint.

Paul the Sixth gave us errors of Vatican II and those that followed him failed to correct those errors and even compounded those errors. All of our Popes of the last century were saintly and even learned men.

I agee that we should not abandon the Church over a bad Pope or series of bad Popes but do not ignore error or accept it because it is sanctioned by what you consider a good Pope or because it is the teaching of a Pope or the Church hierarchy.
