The only thing that would fit is Comey has a very big EGO. Huge. Biggly.

Alternatively, Comey could be an idiot. (An idiot with a planet-size ego, but an idiot nevertheless.)

Rarely do subordinates ask their boss: "WTF are you THINKING????" It tends to work against career longevity in business, never mind in government.

-- I would never equate Sessions with Holder. --

You misunderstand my remark. Holder was active at protecting Obama. Your complaint is that Sessions is the opposite of active, he is no Holder.

I'm just letting you know that I don't share your opinion (which is the prevailing one here at FR) of Sessions. In the interest of keeping the peace, I find it better to leave discussion on the point there, without explanation.

Thanks bud. This week is particularly tough since consensus on the strike by the US is less than 100%. Clarice Feldman has some great stuff from the French intel. But, I still question why would Bashir Assad gas his own people with Trump announcing in Cleveland he wants to get out of Syria. Makes no sense to me.
It’s a question of what I missed and where.

I am conflicted on the Syria missile attack. I really think more proof should have been presented on the initial chemical attack being done by Assad’s forces.

I had similar reservations, but this really wasn't about chemical attacks. It was about sending a global message to our adversaries especially China, Iran, and NK that we will do what we say.

I watched Wallass and his interview with Nicky Haley. She did an outstanding job despite the stupid questions from Wallass. They are making a big deal about our lack of strategy and involvement in Syria. #NeverTrumper Goldberg (he revealed his wife works for Haley!) and other Trump haters like Lane blame a lack of strategy and not getting involved in stopping the slaughter.

Trump had a limited strike. It is encouraging to see that he has reduced significantly the import of Syrian refugees into the US, which Wallass tried to portray as a negative. Why haven't the countries in the region done more in that regard? We can't afford to be the world's policeman. Our national interests are paramount.

Trump is being attacked from all sides for his actions. IMO he did the right thing. It was significant but proportionate. We don't want to get involved in the Syrian civil war or the removal of Assad. Who knows who would replace him? A jihadi? Libya should be the lesson of what happens when you allow war rhetoric to replace sound judgement.

King defends the use of force to take out chemical weapons, and also defends the strike overall.

Even a blind squirrel finds a broken clock once in a while.

Hey Anus!

Suppose those "chemical weapons" could be some of Saddam Hussein's leftovers from his mysteriously missing stockpile???

You are leaving out a simmering story right before that second review.

That Carlos Dangerous, online pedo name of Anthony Wiener, had his laptop he used to contact underage girls filled with Clinton emails his wife stored on it. As I remember, so NYC cops and lower staff but still honest FBI agents were threatening to go public.

The news had leaked out and the bleeding over it had to be stopped. A stupid way to do, from the perspective of a tighter race than all of the drivebys would ever admit to, but that is why.

How low can these Mediots go? They have lowered themselves into seven year olds who lay awake at night thinking of new names to call the President of the United States. Hey CNN, he really hates being called a poopy head. This is what journalism has become in America today, a bunch of pre-adolescent name callers trying to impress the girl in the back of the room.

No, from a historical perspective what you have is the same people who would be despotic kings, and their minions doing their best propaganda to obfuscate and lie.

This has been going on since the beginning of the Republic.

The most notable recent case is the N.Y.Slimes reporting on Stalin's Potemkin villages in the 1930s

What these people love is POWER and control over other human beings.

History simply keeps repeating itself . Timeless stories that represent the human condition.

Why can’t some of these political hacks stand up and do the

right thing? Oh, they were not put in those positions because

of integrity. They were placed there to push the party line.

For Comey the head of the FBI to say he didn’t know if the prostitutes peeing on the President was true is an outrageous lie. He is the only person in the world that still believes that made up story. The story has been disproven six ways from Sunday and he still wants people to believe it.

Then he says he doesn’t know if he should have told the President the story came from the Hillary campaign? Such a hack who makes hacks look professional.

TWO people from the same state on Fox News? What happened to diversity? Maybe Fox should have added Rep James Clyburn to be fair and balanced.

Well, it’s possible Assad is just another dum bass.

The ongoing fighting is very near Damascus, right in the suburbs I believe and the fighting can be house-to-house and block-to-block, so who knows what the ground commanders and upwards are thinking?

Maybe they couldn’t take out who was in the building after multiple attempts and thought no one would be looking, and since Trump is pulling out... Now’s the time to roll up all these little beds of resistance.

Who knows or can explain their thinking?

We know one thing about Muslim dictators: They’re brutal as #%%$# and killing a whole bunch of innocents is no more than you or me swatting flies or gassing roaches.

Some say the whole Saddam not releasing his WMD when he really didn’t have them was a ploy to keep us and others from treating him like the degraded military beggar Iraq had become and then being overthrown by his own people for not protecting them. And think of what Iran wanted to do to him... So Saddam had his own logic working here that utterly failed him and actually led to his downfall.

So, not our kind logic to be sure.

Did we hit an Aspirin factory /s or some Fluorine manufacturing facilities? Israel took out Assad's Russian build nuclear plant some years back.

And the positive side effect - the Russians and the Iranians cleared out. And in addition Assad's Russia provided missile defenses proved to be piss-pour.

If the Russian military equipment is any reflection on what a despotic Commie regime manufactures, the Chines best be worried.

I would suspect that the Chines military, while manned by Billions and Billions of kulaks, has real problems with their military technology for the same reason that any Commie dictatorship.

You pretend to pay me and I pretend to work

There are other political hacks who have been revealed.

Comey wants to get his two cents in before the other

hacks are in the spot light. Comey will be overshadowed

by other political operatives, trying to use the networks for

free promotion.

Former Attorney General Mukasey on Maria Bartiromo, on Comey and his book. Obama was in contact with Hillary on the sectret server, he had a code name. Also the book is contrary to publication guidelines that prescribe "no substative remarks about pending cases."

He is all for both Huber and Congress finding and making known all the facts about the treatment of the secret server investigation and exoneration of Hillary, etc.

Very good point. Don't forget the Peter Principle.

The Peter principle is a concept in management theory formulated by Laurence J. Peter in which the selection of a candidate for a position is based on the candidate's performance in their current role, rather than on abilities relevant to the intended role. Thus, employees only stop being promoted once they can no longer perform effectively, and "managers rise to the level of their incompetence."

I have seen this in play even in my own career. When I became a SMSgt in the USAF I could no longer do technical things but had to meetings, write papers, do staff work, and listen to upper level officers drone on and on... I had to and I did alright but that wasn't where I felt as competent.
