If client/attorney privilege doesn’t matter then decorating lampposts with reporters must be ok too.
The Chinese came across and attacked us. A friend of mine, now deceased, was with Chesty at the reservoir. Two hundred thousand Chinese came across the Yalu (the army that cast no shadow) marching on foot during the night and hiding during the day. They entered North Korea, their ally. The Soviets provided air cover. They routed the 8th Army and sent them on the longest retreat in their history.
but General McArthur did want to strike back in diverse other places, but Truman fired him.
MacArthur wanted to use air power to attack the PRC including nukes, if needed, and employ Chinese troops from Taiwan. He wanted to win. Truman wanted a limited war, which has been our policy since. Vietnam was the prime example of gradual escalation and an unwillingness to destroy the enemy with nothing off limits, e.g., the dikes and port facilities.
HOWEVER, in the case of ISIS and Syria, the Syrian territory was no longer Syrian as ISIS controlled it completely. They beat the government forces there and sent them packing. We were not (or I think we both agree SHOULD not be) fighting Assad's Syria but rather ISIS.
ISIS was occupying Syrian territory, but it was not a sovereign nation. Just because rebels occupy territory whether it is in Columbia, the Philippines, Ukraine, Iraq, etc. doesn't mean that the territory is no longer part of the sovereign nation. No country in the world recognized ISIS as a sovereign nation.
Tell that to the many killed by US drones in Pakistan. We do what we want in Waziristan without asking permission of Pakistan. We don't need or want boots on the ground THERE for a variety of reasons, but we don't let it be a hands-off location for the Taliban to operate from.
Mere pinpricks and hardly an all out attack to take out the Taliban, AQ, and ISIS. List of drone strikes in Pakistan 2008 to 2018. We have had 10 in 2015, none in 2016, four in 2017, and one in 2018. These have been targeted attacks against small groups and individuals. We have not used massive air raids against the Taliban and their allies who use Pakistan as a sanctuary. The vast majority of the attacks were approved by the GOP, including the ISI. There have been secret agreements with the GOP despite the Pakistani public outcry against them.
Gowdy has been very disappointing. He said there was enough compelling evidence for a special prosecutor without the fake dossier. BS Gowdy. Gowdy blew the Benghazi investigation of Hillary. Gowdy leaving Congress will not be a loss for the Republicans.

Note to Dan: Do not drink milk when reading ROCKLOBSTER comments.
I think that was what I was saying, in essence.
MacArthur knew how to win a fight without a head-on, meat grinder assault. He was famous for hitting the enemy where they least expected.
Truman should have let MacArthur fight.
By the way, when I was in Australia I got to visit his WWII HQ. Met some folks who worked for MacArthur there.
ABC's "This Week" - Sarah Huckabee Sanders; Susan Collins; Adam Schiff
NBC's "Meet the Press" - Paul Ryan; Joni Ernst
CBS' "Face the Nation" - Nikki Haley; Tim Kaine
CNN's "State of the Union" - Angus King; Preet Bharara; Michael Avenatti
"Fox News Sunday" - Nikki Haley; Trey Gowdy
We did not have the benefit of classified meetings inside the WH. We elected President Trump to trust his judgement. To say we do not have assets on the ground may or may not be true. Why would we say we do? We could very well have proof nobody should know about.
......
True, but I’d rather bet on it...Iran and Russia want a road to the see for their oil/gas - We and Trump do not want this...Europe wants a pipeline to Europe...CIA likely controls all pieces until now...
Haven't watched in a while, sorry I did.
My Dad spent most of WWII on MacArthur's G-3 staff. He didn't talk about the War very often, but he did tell me a hilarious (to me) MacArthur story. When MacArthur "returned" to the Philippines, my Father referred to him as the "geezer." I almost laughed out loud, because my Dad was 91-years-old. (Although he was 21 in 1944).
This is the greatest fundamental assault on the our Republic possibly ever.Powerful forces in our own government are simply ignore virtually every principal of our Democracy to push their extremist political agenda
If you do not see that, you have no business speaking on politics. If you do, and still willing act as a DNC propaganda bot like this, you are a traitor to the Republic.
There is no difference between what the"hate the GOP" bots are doing and what Tokyo Rose/Lord Haw Haw did during WW2.
You are actively working for the enemies of the Republic and deserve neither respect nor understanding. What you DNC bots pretending to be "Movement Conservatives" have instead earned is boundless contempt
My but you have your panties in a wad.
I am not any type of "conservative", never have been and never will be.
I am a limited G'ment type, verging on Libertarian.
If you are not for eliminating Fed. G'ment departments you are the problem.
Aside from the Freedom Caucus, Ted Cruz and possibly, Lee and Cotton everyone in both parties is out to enslave us.
You may not like that response, but that is not my problem
Exactly! It’s like Rush says the only reason Mueller is there is to get something on Trump, anything. I’ll also be amazed if he doesn’t keep this BS going through Nov. as well if he is not fired. We have excellent reasons to fire him as well. The basis of the fisa warrant was a lie and now everyone knows it.
Its truly amazing how many of the islamos are all sunni, huge proportions of them only Iraq and Iran have majority shia.
I have yet to figure out what Sessions is up to.Great to hear from you.
Yeah really,I really don’t know why Hannity bothers with tv. He has over 15 million listeners on radio. Why would he ever need tv where 3 million is considered a big deal.?
Curious Assad comes off as not very religious at all, hard to figure.I think historically he was alawite if Im not mistaken.Today they are only 11% of the population.
Thanks, any journalist in the region who speaks the vernacular of the region could figure out what was going on in a few days. Its not as it looks.
