I’m all for snuffing out Iran, I really am.
BUT...
No nation building. Kill the Mullahs, the Imans, the Revolutionary Guards, dig up Ayatollah Khomeini and burn his bones and then give the whole thing to those protesting young people to build a better nation.
And yes, show Putin he doesn’t have power. Selling oil while your population is in a downward spiral does not equal world domination. Yes, he has nukes, but he can’t use them.
Really, Russia is France with a much bigger arsenal, but not the world power she once was. We need to turn Russia into an ally. Trump could have done this but the democrats couldn’t stand to lose so they made up fake news about Trump and Russia.
An opportunity wasted.
But, we had a CIA that was busy running drugs in the area(Afghanistan). They didn't have the time to help democracy come back to Iran and the ozero/jarrett regime ignored the event and took the side of Iran which looks to me as if zero was a Russian pawn all along.
A well coordinated CIA could have taken down the mullahs in no time at all back then. Today it's a different world.
The purpose of the U.S. military is to make their woman weep and moan for the loss of their men. Destroy the enemy quickly, unmercifully, and completely.
Some lessons from history would serve the U.S. well. Romans put people to the cross, the Mongol herds killed everyone in the case where they did not submit and fought them instead.
More recently, and to the point of Bray's reference to the propaganda whores. In the 1970's we had the "killing fields" in southeast Asia. How quickly we forget.
