In advance of the Jake Tapper Comedy Hour, CNN is teasing the apeparance of Preet Bharara.

Check out the "prosecutorial discretion" that will be on display. Will be full of accusation via insinuation and speculation.

To: All

Couple of things this past week.

First, my nephew Matthew, who I write about often as he is 15 and says he will President when he’s 35. He will be going to Bejing this coming August, some kind of thing where he is a representative in a mock UN.

Recently, with all A’s, after-school volunteer work as required, and good behavior, he made the school’s National Honor Society but was denied membership in the NATIONAL chapter of the NHS. Denial was based on his tendency to ask the teachers what was wrong with his test answers that they marked wrong.

Evidently Matthew’s teachers didn’t like that so they voted against him.

This past week Matthew’s mother informs that he has been accepted into the FRENCH National Honor Society.

Who knew there was such a thing?

Matthew does speak French but I bet not as well as I do.

Anyway, Friday I went to see Chippaquidick!!!

All by myself. First time I been to a movie by myself in ages but I was fine with it.

Now my friend, Diane Feinstein, is a little bit of a political junkee and she does remember Choppaquidick as do so many of us who were around in 1969.

I will be doing a review of the movie.

Did I like it?

Very much so. Turns out that Teddy Kennedy got his expired driver’s license fixed up behind the scenes. He told the world that he had a concussion which is why he was disoriented and didn’t report the accident until some ten hours later.

A total lie. Teddy was not examined by any Doctor the night of the accident.

There were some scenes in the movie that had to be fiction, will cover in review.

So yesterday me and Diane Feinstein go to church. The usher, who had a crush on her, asked her if she wanted to take home the statue of the Virgin Mary, which she did one time before.

So the priest calls her name at the end of mass (the usher asked me if I wanted to take it home but I told him I got cats. Only someone who has cats would understand that). She hobbles up to get the statue and the usher who loves her brought out the special container for her to carry it. Another parishioner, sweet guy, offered to carry it out to my Jeep.

As we exit the church, Diane Feinstein says to the parishioner that the Jeep is “right over there, by that grassy knoll.”

Don’t you know the parishioner says, heh, “Got to watch grassy knolls, bad things happen there.”

What are the odds? So it was my chance to mention Chappaquidick, which was playing right down the road.

We discussed, with Diane Feinstein telling us that she will watch it when it comes on television.

Heh.

On CNN, Angus King up first, asked about "Mission Accomplished" -- what is the mission? asks Jake. King says it is impossible to say the mission of destroying the chemical weapon capability is accomplished. We won't know if it is a success until we see if the regime uses chemical weapons again.

Asked if the WH presented any evidence that chemical weapons had been used. He says no, doesn't think so, that evidence is coming later supposedly.

King defends the use of force to take out chemical weapons, and also defends the strike overall.

King notes that Congress has abdicated the power to declare war.

Tapper asks if the Obama admin was naive in 2013, trusting Russia to restrain Syria. Both Tapper and King agree Trump was right, Russia failed to restrain Syria. King notes that Syria is still bombing its own people.

Asks about NYT story that criminal investigation into Cohen, and the claim that investigation is more threatening to Trump than SC Mueller, and could show evidence of Russian collusion. King agrees and adds that it is most important to (pretend) that the NY investigation is unrelated to Mueller's investigations.

Preet up next ...

Slippery James Comey, a man who always ends up badly and out of whack (he is not smart!), will go down as the WORST FBI Director in history, by far!
