There needs to be major pushback, all the time on this notion of so-called "White Privilege". It is an attempt to scapegoat one race and poisons the minds of all Americans, especially the young. There are NO oppressed people in America except the self-oppressed!

My point was that harping on the Whites versus Blacks theme just perpetuates the cycle of abuse.
The important thing is what people do as individuals, not racial feelings, positive or negative.
In general, you are absolutely correct..There are individual blacks/browns who work hard and are decent people...They have accepted being human instead of an “oppressed minority”...
Once argued about achievements with a black guy who was very arrogant...
I finally told him that in the last one hundred years, white man has gone from a horse and buggy to walking on the moon...All people like him have done is learned to shake hands four or five different ways...
That ended the argument...

No one is harping on White V Black. What is being harped on is Black entitlement.
We all understand about individualism but the article has a different, and very necessary, point.

Flip side? I don’t receive or see any so called White privilege but I sure see special privilege applied to Blacks and Browns for college admission, for jobs they are unqualified for over Whites that are, for government benefits over Whites. There is no such thing as White privilege, being White has been a stumbling block for decades and God help you if you are a White Heterosexual Christian Conservative!
Taxes for every White Oppressor will be raised in order to pay for what members of allegedly oppressed groups want.
The only “White Privilege” I see is being able to find my first name on those personalized key chains at the 7-11.

I really liked the article, thought it was thoughtful, especially the analysis after the list. He wrote the list as a counter weight to the white privilege list created by some professor in the 80s. He notes that both lists are stereotypical and make caricatures of people, but then whole ideologies are constructed based on these caricatures. Well done. He’ll probably get roasted.
Today’s generation must believe that quote is directed solely at white people..

Blacks, by percentage, owned slaves in far greater numbers than whites did.
Let’s not forget that a black man, Anthony Johnson, started legalized slavery in Virginia by going to court to enslave another black man, John Casor.
Blacks started slavery in the colonies.
