Mexico and China are the problems...not major drug companies...or physicians and surgeons. In recent years I've had two hip replacements and a hand operation and I will soon undergo a shoulder operation. In the previous procedures I was given about a week's worth of narcotics.I didn't need all of them so I threw the excess down the toilet. It was made clear to me each time,in a polite and matter-of-fact way, that I wouldn't need any more than I was given and I had no inclination to ask for more.
Nor will I ask for anything more than what I'm given for my upcoming procedure which the surgeon has warned me will be quite difficult.
As I said...China...Mexico...and weak,stupid people.
See if you can get the ice water pump for after your surgery.
The cool keeps the swelling down and that speeds the healing. Because you have a soft steady coolness rather then the freezing cold of a cold pack it is less of a shock to the system.
