I think your Tevye sense was spot on. I admire your decision to act on your principles. Thank God there is an Israel you could go to. People have very little appreciation for how close all of us live to the edge of loss of freedom and totalitarian oppression (or worse).

America is dangerously close right now. Israel’s got its problems, too. Social workers here are just plain evil. But if Trump goes down, it’s over for both Israel and America. It’s palpable, the silent war going on.
