Hypocrisy: To under-judge: To judge one by a lesser standard than one judges another.
A hypocrite need not be a phony; that is more correctly termed an imposter (thus, imposture). A hypocrite also need not be applying that lower standard to himself.
A hypocrite in this case is one who judges the NeverTrumpers and Swamp Creatures by a lower standard than he does Trump, his associates, and US.
Therefore Clinton gets kid gloves, while Trump gets brass knuckles.
