A bigger concern, IMO, is how Iran and Hezbollah have infiltrated Venezuelan government at the highest levels and in turn use Venezuela for military reasons disguised as humanitarian.

What it must be like to be Venezuelan doctors watching their patients die for lack of basic medications, hanging in themselves and also hoping for regime change, is all too easy to imagine. Those patients are hostages as well. At its last stage - Zimbabwe reached this - the entire population is hostage and the ransom is an unending supply of foreign aid that goes into the pockets of the same thieves responsible for the disaster. Collapse is not imminent, but suffering is inevitable. And fools in the United States still defend socialism.

I’m willing to bet a lot that they are not US Citizens. They may not be from Venezuela though. Chevron has a huge gang of green card / H1B types in Houston b/c they are relatively cheap and willing to live here for cheap.
