Speedway seems pretty low rent to me on their “fresh” fast food. Reheated Pizza, burgers, etc. Wawa makes a much bigger attempt at fresh food.

I have more, but that should be enough.

Enough what? These threads PROVE that it is NOT Sheetz policy to ban open carry hand guns.

A single store clerk was bothered by open carry, but that was her problem.

I open carry at Sheetz in PA which is where the hdq of Sheetz is located and I have never had a problem.

You have nothing but a prejudice against them, so don't go to Sheetz, don't make yourself so miserable.

Not all the GetGo’s around here have an MTO kitchen/deli unfortunately.

If you ever see a large one, it’s worth the stop to get some sandwiches.

The bonus is they use Market District meats and fresh bread so you know you’re at least getting something many steps above a Subway sandwich.

I think you just cited an example of capitalism in action. Speedway is not that well known up here, so they have to step up their game to compete with Sheetz and Wawa, which are.

OTOH, Wawa is not well-known in Florida, so they have to step up their game to compete with Speedway.

The extent of my travels to Florida consist of flying into Talahassee to rent a car to drive to Dothan, Alabama and flying into Ft. Lauderdale to change planes multiple times. Thus, I cannot comment further.

See post #42. I read the links and am quite convinced this was the action of one snowflake manager in Virginia and is NOT Sheetz policy.

Up here in Pennsyltucky and especially the US 22 route between Altoona and Pittsburgh, lots of people open carry and hardly anyone bats an eye.

Personally, I prefer concealed carry just because I don't carry to cause friction with the snowflake types such as the blog citied in Virginia.

I was in a Wawa once.

1991 in Philadelphia. Was drunk on Rolling Rock beer.

Stopped in and did a late night mini-raid on the Tasty-Kake display.

Can’t remember much about it other than having a hangover the next day when I visited Valley Forge.

I don’t remember them as antigun. Their HQ is in Altoona PA, where EVERYONE hunts. As I recall, the Sheetz family was driving H2s and H3s till the weren’t very available. They run a lot of charities too backing their customer $$$.

They appear to be a good place to work; there are only a few I’ve been to enough to recognize the staff, and off those there isn’t alot of turnover.

A lot of the food is decent too.
