At first they kill those they envy, usually on the right side of the bell curve. Pol Pot first killed all the doctors and lawyers. Most of us reading this were alive when this happened. Anyone wearing eye glasses received a death sentence. Socialists always try to kill the Pareto principle where 20% do 80% of the work, own 80% of the land, and sleep with 80% of the desirable women. The problem with that plan is no matter what the socialists try the 80/20 rule reappears. It's a rule of the universe.
Start referring to the Democrats as the Democratic Socialists.
I last knocked in IL in Elgin in School Board and City Council races in 2013. I fled to GA immediately after that Election to work on the GA contract with HAVA-Help America Vote Act to change the GA election registration system.
I doubt Illinois has changed much ... except it has sent us immigrants to Red states.
Hillary was disliked due to her arrogant personality and “I’m with her”.
Trump was disliked less than Hillary .... where it counted in the Electoral College
There is a big gap between what Socialism really is from Ecomomics 101 and how it is used on the street. There is a big difference between Socialism and Social Democrats ... in the opinion of true Socialists and Social Democrats.
Social Democrats believe in more Socialism and more Corporatism and less Capitalism in a Western society. The US, Europe, Japan, Korea, China, India, etc are all a mix of Socialism, Corporatism and Capitalism. Social Democrats believe in Public-Private Partnerships, aka Social Democrat.
They will use the phrase Public-Private Partnership far more often than Socialism because it really is different.
Obama pushed Public-Private partnerships with GE, GM, Goldman Sachs, Solyndra, etal. Republican Neo-Cons pushed Public-Private Partnerships with Boeing, Lockheed, etal. Few real people are ideological purists. They are have mixed ideas, mixed emotions.
They can freely come out of the woodwork now.
Democrat candidates embracing socialist label in 1849 and have never let up Fabians.
the student loan problem is because the govt distorted the market. Almost all problems can be traced to that fact.
Yeah, but even “socialists” aren’t really socialists any more. They believe in wealth redistribution but they’ve abandoned the defining feature of true socialism, namely the collective ownership of the means of production.. In other words, modern so-called socialists want to be Denmark, not the USSR. Our side — the free market, classically liberal, liberty oriented side — has won the basic argument against textbook socialism. There are a few vulgar Marxists remaining but even on the left they’re considered an outdated fringe. At this point we’re basically in mopping up operations. All that’s left is to determine how much redistribution we’re willing to accept into to our fundamentally capitalist economic model.
“Just the fact they get to spread their propaganda via news and entertainment, constantly preaching while our side doesnt get that podium, is a bad sign.”
Tell that to all the people who were not Moslem before Mohammed's flying monkeys burst out of the Arabian desert 1400 years ago, all those across the world, from Morocco to Indonesia, who were converted by the sword.
