I don't get it. If Comey thought Hillary would win, why would he risk alienating her even more by reopening the investigation?
He was exposing himself to even more of Hillary's wrath, coupled with the power of the presidency.
Or maybe he was protecting himself from something else?
Please elaborate.
Comeys description is that he was pre-emptively protecting her legitimacy and legacy. By addressing and dismissing it before the election it could be considered a settled matter.
