I don't know. I was in Berlin in 2014 for the placing of a stolperstein to mark the place from where my Great-grandmother was taken. People there were very civil. The manager of the nearby hotel came out to watch and promised us (family members) that he would keep the marker polished. (But, way back in 2014, Muslims were scare in Berlin.
