They were allowed entrance into the country of Mexico. I would now consider them to be legal residents of the country of Mexico. Best view expressed on these pages yet!
Even with LEO personnel posted every few yards, if they rush the border some or many will continue to make it across to protected legal status. If we fail to eliminate that status by legislation, we will have very few "civilized" means of resolving the issue, if any.

There is a lot of disgrace to clean up from 8 years of obama.

This "caravan" gets a lot of attention. However...the reality is, these few hundreds of people are a mere fraction, of a fraction, of the total numbers who are "apprehended" at the border
every year and those numbers only represent those that are caught!
In the last full 5 years, there were over 2,000,000 foreign nationals caught by immigration @ our southern border.
How many were not caught?
If there were nearly a half a million people in this "caravan" trying to cross at one time (instead of over the course of a year), it would be clearer to those wearing the rose colored glasses.
THIS IS AN INVASION OF OUR SOVEREIGN COUNTRY!
