Democrats are blocking the appointment of regulators to the FEC, causing a deadlock, which is preventing the FEC from acting on complaints.
Dan Backer, a campaign finance lawyer working with a group called The Committee to Defend the President, began reviewing Clinton Campaign FEC filings and discovered a pattern to use the state and national DNC committees as a money-laundering funnel into the Clinton campaign. Backer filed a complaint with the FEC to investigate, and the FEC stalled and sat on the complaint, being only 2/3rds staffed.
Meanwhile, CREW filed a complaint against a right-of-center group called American Action Network. The head of the FEC (a Democrat, of course) suggested that CREW take advantage of a "safeguard" measure in the law in case of FEC deadlocks that allows the complainant to directly sue the FEC to force it to act, which is what CREW did to the American Action Network. The Court sided with CREW, which ordered the FEC to act within 30 days or CREW is entitled to sue the American Action Network directly.
Using this same tactic against Democrats, Dan Backer has just filed a lawsuit against the FEC detailing the DNC/Clinton campaign finance abuses. If the Courts are consistent, they will issue the same ruling as the one to CREW, and force the FEC to act within 30 days or Backer can sue the DNC and the Clinton campaign directly.

Great point. Every ‘bombshell’ has been a dud and the only bomb that has exploded has been to get more clicks and help the ‘hysteria press’. Let us know when someone actally goes to court and faces actual charges.

So this isn't even remotely a cake walk.....I want the charges forthcoming to “stick”.....not just accuse. And I want the whole shebang to topple and everyone who is a part of it..and that's going to take time folks here don't want to give it.

I think the pessimism is warranted based on previous history.
I have bad news for those who think this is somehow the Al Capone charge that gets HRC. The candidate is usually so far removed from campaign finance that there is pretty much ZERO chance that she goes down for this. Was it illegal? It certainly appears that way. Did she directly control it? Very unlikely.
It still should be investigated but there is only one way to truly drain the swamp. The foundation. That is the one they are worried about.
