Wonder if he killed and/or raped while stationed around the country/world while in the Navy.
I knew Michelle McNamara, her younger sister dated then married my roommate. We all grew up in Oak Park and River Forest area of the western suburbs of Chicago. She was s really nice person. Great family.
They caught Bill Clinton?
That special is on ID at this very moment.
Probably......................
Thanks. 4 hour series on now. Off to watch it again.
I always thought Oswalt was a homosexual. Guess not.
He is a very creepy, mean and disgusting little man. He married pretty quickly after saying he was so heartbroken after his wife died.
“Creepy. Mean. Disgusting.”
All true. Add “Liberal”.
He was fired from the police Department for stealing a hammer and dog repellant. This guy was on par with Ted Bundy in the scale and scope of his crimes.
They did find a badge at one of the scenes, outdoors. It looked sort of generic — no identifying city, county, etc.
The Original Night Stalker
I guess Richard Ramirez was a copycat?
Not really a copycat, the newspapers just started calling Ramirez “The Night Stalker” later on, and his crimes were much more well known than the first “Night Stalker”, so law enforcement began calling this guy “the Original Night Stalker” to avoid confusion.
About a decade ago they established a DNA link between ONS and an earlier series of rapes and home invasions that was known as the “East Area Rapist”, so people started calling him “EAR/ONS”. Then people began to speculate even earlier the same perp was responsible for a series of crimes that had been committed by a guy called “The Visalia Ransacker”.
Eventually, to streamline things some researchers and press just started calling him the “Golden State Killer” to have one name for the suspect wanted in all these crimes.
I was surprised I had not heard of the “golden state killer” until I read about him and watched a show about it a bit back. It seems that this did not get as much attention as other suspected serial killers.
He lived on a quiet street in Citrus Hts.
The case was investigated intensively in Ill Be Gone in the Dark, a book published earlier this year.
That explains why I had not heard of this much before. There also seems to be more than one name given to this serial killer.
Coincidence?
Detective being interviewed by Martha McCallum in a minute.
