Best thing about Panama?

You can use the US dollar! Its the nation’s official currency.

Spent just over two years in Panama while in the Army back around 1971 and loved it. As a 19 and 20 year old kid who grew up in cold northern Michigan on a lake, Panama and the year long summer and ocean was like heaven.

Spent lots of weekends at an Army barracks at the end of Taboga Island which was available to us for $2 a night and in the day, I would snorkle spearfish off the shore........

Outside the barracks they had stretched out a sheet between two poles and at night they would set out a movie projector and project movies onto the sheet. Myself and my buddy would go into the resort village and buy some beers then go back and watch the movie along with other villagers who would come up for the entertainment...........Real cool stuff!

Isn’t Panama crime-ridden?
