Russian diplomats are planning to bring a group of Syrians to the international chemical weapons watchdog who the Russians claim were filmed in "staged videos" of an alleged chemical attack on the town of Douma earlier this month.
Russian Embassy spokesman Mikhail Sobolev said Wednesday that about 15 Syrians will attend a meeting at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons on Thursday to brief member states.
The OPCW, which has sent a team of inspectors to Syria to investigate the alleged attack, had no immediate comment.
The event is part of an ongoing clash of narratives between the West and Syria and its key ally Russia about the April 7 attack.
Opposition activists and first responders in Douma say the attack was carried out by government forces and killed more than 40 people. The U.S., France and Britain also blamed the Syrian government, and launched punitive airstrikes a week after the attack.
Six days after the incident, Russia's Defense Ministry accused Britain of direct involvement in staging video images of alleged victims. Britain vehemently denied the Russian accusation.

One America News (OAN) did a report from location in Syria. They concluded that the alleged “gas attack” did not happen. Same with a German news agency. The only people who don’t care about the truth are the neverTrumper, Assad out brigade in Congress, the media, our institutions, and the always-intervention cadre in social media.

If they actually have witnesses who were paid to stage the films and they are actually in the films, this blows this thing wide open. This may account why we only blew up two empty buildings certified in December as not used in Chemical manufacruring. I am still dumb founded as to how we fired 107 cruise missles to demo two empty buildings. Any clue on that?

Yeah, people forget that chlorine gas doesn’t leave residual residue; it just dissipates into the atmosphere. Those chemical warhead canisters stuck into the rooms of the apartment buildings were obviously dropped from aircraft. If you were “staging” a gas attack from the ground, you certainly wouldn’t risk firing missiles loaded with the components from your position. You would just mix and run.

Will they be persons who were paid to stage the attack, or will they be persons being paid (or threatened) to say they were paid to stage the attack.
Given the constant information, misinformation, disinformation campaigns from ALL sides concerning Syria, I don’t expect we will ever know the true answer to that question. True “information” concerning Syria is in a fog, nothing is transparent.
There was no attack. I watched a video of OAN reporter Pearson Sharp in Douma. He interviewed countless people who all said there was no attack. They were laughing about it and said the West was playing its games.
