Some here may know that the state of Texas maintains a special website for its "Death Row".On that website you can see, among other things, the last words spoken by the prisoner just before the needle is inserted. While some,as would be expected, claim to be innocent and/or claim that the DP is wrong,a surprising number (surprising to *me* at least) admit guilt and express remorse for what they've done.

But ten bucks says that *this* punk didn't express any remorse.

Here’s what he said:

“I may have lost the fight but I’m still a soldier,” he said when asked by the warden if he wanted to make a statement. “Take it as it is. To my supporters and family, y’all hold it down. Ten toes down. That’s all I got to say.”

It probably sounds macabre but I've had that site bookmarked for years - You're right about the surprising amount of convicts expressing remorse as the needle goes in. It appears quite a few get religion on DR as well - can't say I blame them. Some have no comment at all.
They also used to show the last meal requests by the condemned, some of which were pretty outlandish but stopped that some time ago.
