I hope not, but I do concede the trend is in that direction.
My question is, sooner or later, true Socialism, true collectivism bumps up against our Constitution, at least as it currently is written. How will the progressives deal with that? How do they justify shaking down the wealthy, seize assets like houses, 401k/IRA accounts, and other wealth without violating the Fourth or Tenth Amendments, for example?
The Constitution is ignored daily. Its a “living” document you know.
