I respectfully disagree. For the first time this country has a sizeable constituency that actually WANTS these things. Far more people than were even part of the Hippie crowd in the 60's. Millenials and foreign imports primarily. The ones who raise a word of caution are largely us old fogies, and we lose ten a day to the obituary column.
Bad policy or not this is going to happen eventually.

Bad policy or not this is going to happen eventually. I hope not, but I do concede the trend is in that direction.
My question is, sooner or later, true Socialism, true collectivism bumps up against our Constitution, at least as it currently is written. How will the progressives deal with that? How do they justify shaking down the wealthy, seize assets like houses, 401k/IRA accounts, and other wealth without violating the Fourth or Tenth Amendments, for example?
