Standup comic Hannibal Buress, whose 2014 remark about sexual-assault accusations against Bill Cosby went viral, is getting another serious surge of attention. The path to Cosby’s conviction on Thursday on charges he drugged and molested a woman at his suburban Philadelphia home arguably started 3 1/2 years earlier in a Philadelphia comedy club, where Buress during his standup act mocked Cosby’s smug preachiness and called him a rapist.
“I’ve done this bit on stage, and people think I’m making it up,” Burress said. “Bill Cosby has a lot of rape allegations. … When you leave here, Google ‘Bill Cosby rape.’”
Cellphone video of the moment taken by then-Philadelphia Magazine reporter Dan McQuade went viral, and so did the allegations. Stories that had been public but largely ignored for years suddenly got a footing. New accusers emerged, and old accusers remerged. Lawsuits and criminal prosecution soon followed.

Strengthens the argument of those who say Cosby is being punished for leaving the Plantation.
That’s not how I remember it. Cosby’s Publicist, released something on Twitter or some account asking people to respond to Cosby’s photo captioned, “Who Am I?” or something like that. Hannibal seized on it during his nightclub act, because thousands responded to Cosby as being a rapist.
IOWs Cosby started this whole thing.
And even after all this, most people still have no idea who ‘Hannibal Buress is or what he is supposed to be famous for.
He never left the plantation. It was all an act the whole time, for over a half-century.
Right about the time Cosby started making some ‘conservative’ comments.
He should have known better then to leave the plantation.
Still, if he’s a rapist I am glad he’s found out.
Now, if only Bill Clinton would praise a conservative...
She told me that Cosby was known for ordering up a couple of white gals to his dressing room before he arrived when he was doing his comedy on the road.
Of course, I did not believe her, but my mom has a way of hearing things that always seems to turn out to be true.
I don't know where she got the info but she does read a lot, although she doesn't touch the tabloids.
Even though what she told me then seemed implausible, I did tuck it away and darn it if my mother wasn't right all this time.
People forget Cosby was all-in with Rev Al's Tawana Brawley fraud.
I heard about him over thirty years ago. The same story about Tiger Woods acting as the good family man,while whoring around the time!
His “downfall” isn’t assured by a long shot. He’s on house arrest and has a good chance on appeal. It’s fairly obvious that he is a rapist and quaaludes are his weapon of choice but, eh, I still don’t believe this particular case will bring him down because of allowing other allegations at the trial because of the general weakness of the particular Andrea Constand case.
I am one that believes he is being punished for not only leaving the plantation, but encouraging other blacks to get educated, get a job, Raise Your Children and be Responsible.(get off the Plantation)

Everyone knew about Cosby, but no one did anything until he made his bold moves to leave the Liberal Plantation.
Then they pounced, eager to destroy him, and a boatload of evidence to do it with.
