Former NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw has canceled his upcoming commencement speech at a Connecticut university amid controversy surrounding the recent sexual harassment allegations made against him, reports said Friday.
Sacred Heart University president John Petillo told the Hartford Courant that Brokaw did not want to distract from the event and will no longer be delivering the May 13 commencement speech for the school

Probably a good idea, his time time will be better spent huddling with a public relations damage control firm to cover up and distract attention form his misdeeds
Depends. Can the school get another speaker? That could be a huge problem since most schools have commencement at the same time. I thought Tommy was ambushed according to what he says. Why would you cancel something if you feel you are innocent? This just makes him seem guilty. Dumb move. He should have given the speech.
Does this mean we might no longer be subjected to “An American Story” on talk radio stations?

As much as I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt Tom, you and the rest of the media have poison the well when it comes to unfounded accusations.

Imagine all the marriages that have revived memories of the affairs of husbands and wives. That’s why this is wrong. It’s harmful.
I have never understood why a company would hire someone with a speech impediment for a speaking position.
The accusations are from the 90’s and are believable, since they are from the 90’s when everything like that was cool, because the President was kinky. Bill Clinton was forgiven in 1999 by the Senate of the United States for doing worse, throughout the 1990’s. Why is NBC is the first in line anytime, any Clinton wants to be interviewed or needs a job or needs help fixing an election? I hope he writes a tell-all book about every creepy person he ever worked with at NBC. I’ll buy it.
