When the move comes, a smaller place here in AK...someplace that comes with a maintenance man. Apt? Condo? I don’t want to have to think about upkeep anymore.
No way would I go back to California, but Texas could be on the list if I leave here. But it is HOT!
Next week I sign up for Social Security and Medicare Part A even tho I’m still working. That will be a huge weight off my shoulders knowing I’ve gotten two time sensitive things off my list. The advise about what to do when is almost as bad as advise from the IRS...different answers from different agents. d:o)

It’s been a rough week...today was Cora’s last day, I was hammered all day, and my knee hurts so bad I’m going to have to take something.

It’s a very good idea to get all that stuff started while you’re still working. For one thing, it takes time for the government gears to grind into action.
It is hot here, but we also have AC everywhere. Houses, stores, cars. You don’t have to be in it for more than a few minutes. And it also depends on what part you want to be in. Texas would love you. But I can see why you’d want to stay there. You have connections, friends and you still have your job!
Good idea to have a place that doesn’t require upkeep on your part. If our house wasn’t paid for, it would be tempting. Our kids want us to move to Wyoming. It’s COLD! LOL!

All is well here. Just saw your post right before heading out. Hope you and Bo had fun today. He seems to have gotten some of his old energy back. Maybe he was just tired of winter! Hope the meds help his tongue! See you tomorrow!
We did quite a bit of walking out at the lake yesterday. We'll see how things go today.
