I do have a streak of skepticism in me but this appears to be promising. Do the NORKS want to join the us in the 21st Century? We shall see.

I still have a streak of skepticism

Why? It's been in the (not so) Invisible Hand's best interests to keep our troops in the middle of that peninsula. President Trump is not of their ilk. I just pray that he's cleaning house and will stop listening to those around him who drank the globalist swamp water.

The Norks may not have any choice. Without out side assistance into N K the gov’t can not provide even subsistence to the people. Sooner or later someone will have to do something about that aND Kim will be target one.

In Paradise Lost, “it is better to Rein in Hell than serve in heaven”

But that may not necessarily be true. When just a few miles down the road, the “average” South Korean lives better than you do, I’m not convinced that being the “top dog” in a shithole has any real advantage.

I think this is where Kim has arrived. He has zero freedom in the world, no real measurable wealth, a shithole for a home, and a people who would kill him if they could get near him.

Anything is a step up from there.

What is remarkable about this, even if I am skeptical as well, is this is the first time since the establishment of the DMZ at the end of the Korean Conflict 65 years ago that the Norks have promised concrete action in exchange for a promise.

Up until now, it is the United States and our allies who have offered concrete action (payments, supply of fuel, etc.) in exchange for (worthless) promises by the Norks.
