I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression about what I'm posting here, but I have felt all along that the stories about these two young children have been presented in a very superficial and incomplete manner. There's another side to this that nobody really mentions in these various articles about the injustices perpetrated by the totalitarian government-run health care system.

The reality is that both of these children -- Gard and Evans -- would have died months earlier were it not for a government-run health care system that covered the cost of their medical care. I'm sure their families were huge advocates for this massive secular bureaucracy when it was paying these medical bills ... right up until the moment the bureaucrats decided to pull the plugs.

I believe both of these cases involved unmarried couples who had effectively been wards of the state for a long time. In at least one of the two cases (Gard), neither parent had been working for months before the child eventually died. This type of situation can only exist in a massive welfare state ... and yet it doesn't get any attention here in conservative circles until the welfare state makes a decision we don't like.

There's a reason why you never see stories like this involving Amish children, right?
