It’s a cesspool, there is no doubt about it, but it also carries prestige.
Years ago one of my nieces, a devout Catholic and Conservative got her degree in economics there and just recently my nephew who is very Conservative got his Masters in Mechanical Engineering there. And yes they had to tolerate a lot of crap, the more so my nephew because it has gotten so much worse.
The kids should be studying when at school and not protesting.
