Fort Detrick is a United States Army Medical Command installation located in Frederick, Maryland. Historically, Fort Detrick was the center of the US biological weapons program from 1943 to 1969. Since the discontinuation of that program, it has hosted most elements of the United States biological defense program.

As of the early 2010s, Fort Detrick's 1,200-acre campus supports a multi-governmental community that conducts biomedical research and development, medical materiel management, global medical communications and the study of foreign plant pathogens.

I understand your frustration. It’s happened here many times though we haven’t been as dry as you are. Of course, we aren’t in the desert either. LOL! But there have been years we’ve wondered if our area was about to turn to desert.

They just talked about that system later this week and they show decent rain chances in your area. Sure do hope it works out the way they’re saying.

Cool about the new nest. I’ll check on it shortly, once that stupid stork in Hungary stands up to show the eggs. I wish that cam had rewind like so many others do.

I feel your frustration. There are a few eagles’ nests that won’t re-wind either and I miss so much. Oh...the DC pair, President and First Lady have a hatch! DC6.

Weatherbug was showing those two days with 30% or so chances. We’ll see. I have NO trust in the clouds. LOL!

Yes, it’s frustrating not being able to rewind some of the cams. None of the Hungarian stork cams I keep tabs will rewind and now that it’s time for eggs to start to hatch, it’s hair-pulling time. LOL

Yay for the new DC eaglet! I haven’t been following that nest but will need to check in periodically.

I gace up on Kocser and checked in on the Berry eaglet. That beauty will fledge soon as it’s already branching.

Have the GGO cam up now and it appears there aren’t babies yet but there are eggs at least. It would be nice if the Explore cams had chat.

30% is better than 0% and I hope y’all get lucky. Just hope you don’t get hit by any strong storms and that front will have some.

Cool! Thanks for the link.

Babies soon if not at least one already. It was hard to tell if Momma was nudging a baby or rolling the eggs. That’s a TIGHT spot she’s nesting in.

it is tight! Even smaller than the other tree was, if possible. When those babies get bigger it’s going to be filled with owlets. LOL!

I’d say it’s definitely tighter than the other tree. I’m not sure how she managed to squeeze herself in there. It’s going to be packed within a very few days after the owlets hatch.

Should be fun to watch, though. Maybe she won’t have as many as the other owl did. We can hope. :)

Guess I’d better head out. Have to be clear headed for the quiz tomorrow night. :)

Yeah, two will be plenty for her in that tiny tree. Three will be a real crowd. That’s a bit much for the other nest and there’s more room there.......barely.

Good night and sleep well. Catch ya tomorrow for the quiz!
