(1) The officials who released that information should be prosecuted and sent to prison, or

(2) The information is unclassified and should be released in response to this request.

The issue is whether this “information” was given with the caveat of “not for dissemination or publication”, “off the record”, etc.

I can’t count the number of times, as a card carrying journalist from here to Vietnam, that I was told “off the record” information or had those kind of briefings.

There was a time when journalists had integrity (a few very dishonorable ones did a lot of harm to the US) and agreed to these conditions. Today, there is n integrity and patriotism amongst too many liberal journalists and media sensation pigs posing as journalist.

This case need further analysis as to its possible meanings.
