Everyone knew Iran was developing Nukes in 2003. This is really old news.
The purpose to the deal seems to have been to get Iran to have communication with other countries. As far as Israel complaining about Iran’s nukes, well, Israel has nukes.
What percentage of the documents are from 2012 or newer?
It's possible that Iran had wasn't making any progress beyond something like the original heavy, hard to deliver, 'Fat Man' type of bomb and therefore decided they'd get more mileage out of trading away their program than out of pursuing it.
