She was drunk and hysterical on election night, screaming and sobbing on the phone for hours with Linda Bloodworth Thomason. She specifically blamed Comey and Obama for her loss as she blubbered and yelled all night. They couldn’t get her sobered up and cleaned up for her concession speech until almost lunch time the following day.
Damn Right She Was! There is no other believable reason on earth that she couldn’t do that.
I'm not sure about the ash trays and lamps, that's repeated so much that it's become apocryphal, but I'm convinced that she was too drunk to come out that night to properly concede. That's why they shoved Podesta out there. There's no other logical explanation because it looked really bad for the first woman nominee to have to send a man out there to concede for her.
