James Comey doesn’t think President Hillary Clinton would have fired him.
Axios’ Mike Allen spoke with the former FBI Director and asked him directly if the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate should’ve been charged with a crime. Comey said, “No.”
As for how things would be going for him if she had won, Comey said, “I think I would still be the FBI director… Secretary Clinton is someone deeply enmeshed in the rule of law, respect for institutions, a lawyer. And so given that background, I’m reasonably confident that even if she was unhappy with decisions the FBI made, she would not fire the FBI director as a result.”

Wouldn’t be so sure about that. She hated the way he let her off the hook and for restarting the investigation right before the election.
Firing is not how Clinton’s get rid of people.
Yes it is. A .38 caliber firing.
But they don’t mean the same thing by “law” as political conservatives generally do. They need judges who will do the “in” thing with what is nominally supposed to be law, and push back the groups that they don’t like.

I am convinced Mr. Comey should never have been in the position he held at the FBI. The only thing he has going for him is he can be seen above a crowd.
Comey was rightfully terminated. He should pull his panties back up and move on.

He says he believes Clinton would not have fired him, but President Trump did. A very good reason for his backing of Clinton.

He was a Clinton stooge from the start. Trump knew it, it was easy to see. And he has known the guy for years from New York, where I guarantee you Trump’s legal people kept tabs on who he was really pitching for.
And it ain’t Team Trump.

Comey is probably correct. If she had won then she
wouldn’t have needed him for a scapegoat and she would
have had Comey to thank for the non investigation of her.
Obama would have just handed off one of his favorite
lap dogs to Hillary.
He was counting on covering up the private email and Clinton Foundation scandals for job security. Comey had an “insurance plan” no matter who won.
