White House replaces lawyer Ty Cobb with Clinton impeachment attorney [tr]

From the article:

In an interview with The Post, former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giulani — who is now serving as Trump’s lead personal attorney dealing with the special counsel — said the president did not force Cobb to leave.

“It was just time for him to go, but he’s still going to be available to us,” Giuliani said.

He added that Jay Sekulow, another member of Trump’s legal team, “had the most to do with it.”

“Jay felt he need someone that more aggressive,” Giuliani said. “That’s not a criticism of Ty, but it’s just about how we’re going to do this.”

Sekulow declined to comment. Cobb did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

In a statement, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Cobb was retiring.

“For several weeks Ty Cobb has been discussing his retirement and last week he let Chief of Staff Kelly know he would retire at the end of this month,” she said.

In an interview, Giuliani said the president and the White House need a “more aggressive” approach as the special counsel pressures Trump for a sit-down interview. He said that Trump’s legal team is going to push Mueller to demonstrate what evidence he has and limit his questions for the president.

“Some people have talked about a possible 12-hour interview,” he said, adding, “That’s not going to happen, I’ll tell you that. It’d be, max, two to three hours around a narrow set of questions.”

Flood appears willing to take a more adversial approach to the special counsel than Cobb, who advised Trump that cooperating with the probe would help bring it to a rapid conclusion.

Is Mueller going to send people to break into his office and home and confiscate all his records, computers, and hard drives?

“Some people have talked about a possible 12-hour interview,” ...

Perhaps Mueller will waterboard Trump to beat a confession out of him. Wouldn’t surprise me.

A little late...It’s been painfully obvious what Muller and crew were trying to do since they started.

Trump’s idiot farking lawyers have ‘slow walked him to the impeachment gallows’

Cobb was way too weak. He was fired. Please note that even a cursory analyses of the law of Subpoena will reveal you cannot subpoena Trump to a grand jury for testimony. The main reason is separation of powers. The Nixon case did nothing but address specific documents in a Ducas Tecum. No president has ever appeared before a Grand Jury under subpoena and Trump damned sure won’t. Muellar has no crime to investigate so he wants to set perjury traps which is the fall back for failed investigations. He must be dealt with very harshly. I have advocated that he ,Rosenstien and Sessions be fired. But assuming they aren’t then tell Meuller to go to hell and mean it. Tell him he can take his fishing expedition subpoena and shove it you know where.
They are not going to remove our elected president. They need to suck it up buttercup and that goes for the GOPE too!!

“Jay felt he need someone that more aggressive,” Giuliani said.

What has Sekulow been doing for the cause? He needs to go too.

Ty Cobb was a low energy guy who looked like he was about to throw out the first pitch of the 1919 World Series.

Someone should water-board Mueller, his team and throw Homey Comey as a bonus.

What has Sekulow been doing for the cause?

Jay was hired on as advice counsel. He essentially told Cobb to retire.

“They are not going to remove our elected president. “

Regardless of whether Mueller subpoenas Trump, he’s GOING to present a laundry list of crimes and ‘obstruction of justice’ to Congress. A ‘report’ for impeachment.

“Ty Cobb was a low energy guy who looked like he was about to throw out the first pitch of the 1919 World Series.”

It’s not just a matter of low energy...It’s a matter of really bad judgement. I knew what was going on when Sessions first recused himself and rosenstein appointed muller’s soviet style special counsel coup.

Why didn’t Cobb, Sekulow, et al. ? They have treated Mueller’s coup has some legitimate legal inquiry. Morons all.

I don’t know how that can be . There is no there there. We all know that. The American people will not permit this taking of their vote. It would result in civil war. We have the military. They are committing sedition and we need indictments but we have mush for an attorney General. There will be no conviction of an impeachment resolution if that ever happened. NEVER.

And Trump needs to call the DOJ and ORDER RosenRat to COMPLY with Congressional SUBPOENAS immediately or he will be prosecuted for obstruction of justice.
