Mr. Shakir, the NRA model works so well because the people involved believe very strongly in the underlying cause - the preservation of the Second Amendment.
You may have a harder time finding such a large and passionate block of voters for the issue of gender-neutral bathroom privileges.

The NRA is for Americans. The ACLU is nothing more than a commie lawyers union bent on America’s destruction.

It’s too bad the ACLU doesn’t protect ALL civil rights, including the right to keep and bear arms. I suspect there is a significant cadre of people who belong to both the NRA AND the ACLU.
