This kid was against guns before the shooting he also was a person who posted lots of stuff about his hatred for Trump and Republicans on twitter and facebook.
So the shooting just gave him more opportunity to be an activist of sorts.
So No he or they will never give up.

I think Rush said we have to continually be reminding people why our side is right.
