The American series Fender guitars are twice as much as those made in Mexico, and considerably more than Squier guitars.
I would know, my dad paid $550 for my black Mexi-Strat for my 18th birthday. The Contemporary (lefty) Strat looks great, but the Affinity Series is cheaper with an Alder body.
