Iran is preparing a barrage of missiles to launch against Israeli military positions from Syrian territory, Hebrew media reported Sunday, citing defense officials.
Let em have their war. Just leave us out of it and don’t expect the US taxpayers to provide support. It is the Middle East and one of their many cultural diversions.
One thing I wish the president would say because he has a platform and this is never said in public, is that the Middle East could be a prosperous, peaceful region if the nations just accepted the standards of conduct of most of the rest of the world and stopped this insane never-ending mass killing of each others’ people. Whether this is based on a specific religion, ideology or just plain dysfunction can be left to the imagination of the listener and while we know the answer, it is the basic fact of dysfunction alone that can point those countries towards a better solution.
And neither is this just western cultural imperialism, India, China and Japan enjoy a relatively peaceful existence and high standards of living (India a work in progress perhaps), and they are hardly bastions of white Christianity.
The various countries that oppose Israel have two things in common, a certain religion, and a general propensity to mayhem on a large scale. Perhaps it is not Israel who is their actual enemy, but themselves. I would love to hear the president say this and watch a million liberal heads explode, but it’s the truth and we were told that the truth would set us free.
If Iran, or any nation, decides to initiate open conflict with Israel, they will relearn what they did in the 60s.... that their militaries are a joke compared to modern western trained armies.
Won’t be pretty, but should Israel truly ever release the hounds against any Arab neighbor, you would see the closest thing to hell on earth.
When your world view is codified xenophobia to the point that murder is encouraged and nobel, simply because someone does not agree with you... you cannot advance.
