Having read both books I have to say that while I believe Schlichter exaggerates the depths of American leftist depravity and commitment to their stated objectives, he’s spot on with the dynamic of how they would govern.

He understands them better than you. Most Progs are sheep, but their leaders, whom they will follow blindly, are every bit as depraved and committed as his novels makes them out to be.
They’ve been working on this for a century! That’s generations of failure with tiny gains and they still continue. They are more committed to their ideology than we are, believe me. I’ve been reading their writing for 20 years and I understand their mind. Mind. Singular. Because they are a hive.
Always remember that Progressivism is a compromise. It was the calmer Communists telling the bomb-throwing radical Communists to settle down, that they have a better way. A kinder, gentler way to change America. But the bomb-throwers are sick of waiting. The Baby Boomer Communists are getting nervous that their lives will end without victory and they are the bad guys in Schlichter’s novels.

All leftist thought, from the limousine liberalism of a George Clooney to the murderous horrors of Mao, Stalin, and Pol Pot, is of and from Satan. Leftism is a contaminant in the human cognosphere, not a natural component of it.
That being the case, Normals are not even equipped to comprehend the depths of depravity to be found on the left.
