Liberals will always love McCain for ensuring that Obama got elected in 2008... He may blame Palin, but what he really needs to do is look in the mirror. The man was never fit for public office.
A competent jet pilot who served his country well, and was heroic during his captivity in Vietnam, nobody would ever doubt McCain’s patriotism, but the man was feeble minded and politically naive during his political career. He didn’t deserve the Presidency and as bad as Obama turned out to be during his term as POTUS, he still was better than McCain would have been.
