This was not just about the deal. This was about Iran's aggressive behaviour across the region.

Something the media has turned a blind eye to.

“And the other factor is that the American withdrawal strengthens the hand of the hardliners...”
“but the hardliners will use this to crack down on any dissent and will muscle it out.”

LOL. Who does this joker think is running the country??

Everyone seems to have forgotten that Iran is the #1 sponsor of international terrorism. They’re killing people across the middle east, Africa, Central and South America. Obama seemed to want to reward them for it.

I thought it sounded more like a declaration of war.

President Trump just saved the lives of millions of people throughout that region.

A strong Iran was only flexing it’s muscle and providing military, military, military. They were ganging up with allies throughout the area to spread Islam and the Ayatollah’s message and vision.

By dropping out, he shot out their knee caps. Now they have to worry about eating and turning on lights again. They had their chance, and as usual they blew it.

I repeat: President Donald J Trump saved millions of lives without firing a round. This man is brave, brilliant and in a short span of time truly learned how the world operates and our place in that clockwork.

Turns out that the Europeans are not allies.

Israel, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain Qatar, UAE and Oman are our Iranian threatened allies. The Europeans are an existential threat to the Gulf and the mid east.

Added to the allies list are Egypt and Jordan and the emerging Sunni/Kurdish nation that once was Iraq and Syria

Europe was. The Arabs are

The problem with brokering a new deal that would be acceptable to the US is that it would have to encompass so many things....

There is not going to be any new deal in a diplomatic sense.

Iran has itself to blame. They knew Obama was desperate to make a deal, any deal, so they made one that was so one-sided it was absurd. One could only picture them laughing out loud as they accepted concession after ridiculous concession and offered none in return. I want bales of cash, no sanctions, I get to keep doing what I'm doing, you get no inspections, etc.

If the deal had been even a little fair maybe Trump could have found a way to keep it. But as it was, there was just no way. And that's the fault of Iran for going out of their way to make a laughingstock out of Obama and Kerry and leaving behind a deal that a man like Trump could never live with.

This was not just about the deal. This was about Iran's aggressive behaviour across the region.

And yet the article appears to lay the blame at Trump's feet...

Iran’s reaction to the cancellation of the deal merely proves Trump was right to cancel it. No civilized government would, upon receiving such news, immediately burn the US flag in their legislative chamber (and broadcast it on TV) while chanting “death to America”. Not even the Chinese, who we recently nearly went to economic war with, reacted so strongly.

“President Donald Trump has just sent an earthquake through the Middle East and risked alienating key European allies.”

Yawn! Trump’s mere existence alienates “European allies”. Screw the gutless, unprincipled weasels.
