This is a serious complaint. Hava-inepti has defrauded state and federal governments of tax revenue. That’s criminal activity purposefully engaged by an attorney to evade corporate liabilities for the purpose of his personal enrichment.

It will take time, but he could be toast.

Not making 941 payments is essentially viewed as theft by the IRS. It is more serious than just not paying your income taxes. This falls under criminal activity.

He is not paying his half of his employees tax liabilities.

On March 8, 2018, Tully's announced that it was closing its remaining stores temporarily due to a lack of coffee. Later that month, many Tully's locations remain closed with eviction notices posted by landlords indicating the lack of payment of rent for recent months.

So you are saying that he owed or owes $5,000,000 in back taxes to the IRS?

Oh, no big deal to the leftists!

I won’t hold my breath for the MSM to act like this is wrong.

But thanks for sharing the info with FReepers.

Perhaps, Michael can hire Perkins Coie to represent him in these “matters.”

That’s way more money than the Cohens are claimed to owe NY State.

Robert Barnes
@Barnes_Law

Michael Avenatti blocked me. I wonder if it was documenting his complicity in criminal leaks, his history of stiffing employees, his habit of screwing over partners, the bankruptcy of his law firm, or his $5M tax lien for diverting employee $ & not paying payroll taxes? #Avenatti

?? The IRS has zero sense of humor when it comes to unpaid 941 employee withholdings. They will work with a taxpayer on many things but unpaid withholding, especially in that kind of size, they come and chain your doors shut and seize bank accounts and place liens with gusto. Unpaid 941s are very, very high on their most serious offenses.

But internal memos detailed an unplanned crisis after the coffee supplier for Tully’s cut it off. And in a federal lawsuit filed in January, Vermont-based coffee conglomerate Keurig Green Mountain — which actually owns the Tully’s trade name — claimed Global Baristas (Avenatti's business) failed to pay $500,000 in licensing fees for the past two years. The suit contends Global Baristas had to stop using the Tully’s name.

Very interesting. Why just this morning Avenatti was claiming Cohen was paid $500,000 by some Russian oligarch. There's that $500,000 number being tossed around again by Avenatti. I find the coincidence a bit too coincidental.

I know a CEO who told his CFO that she didn't have to pay the payroll taxes which amounted to $250,000.

The IRS got a hold of him pretty quick. He wasn't a lawyer so he couldn't play a bunch of games.

This Stormy lawyer must think he is pretty smart.

Smart enough to outfox the IRS?

They don't like playing games.
