Sean Hannity accused of repeatedly evicting tenants who paid no rent
American Thinker ^ | 05/11/2018 | Ed Straker

The great things about liberals is that even though most have never run a business, they all know exactly how businesses should be run.  It's as if all those courses they took at Amherst or Yale on women's studies, art history, and neo-colonialism gave them an intuitive sense for market forces, and exactly how much businesses should pay employees, exactly how much in taxes businesses should pay, and how to run every aspect of their companies.

It's hardly surprising, then, to find an exposé in the Washington Post focusing on Fox News commentator Sean Hannity.  Hannity spent millions of dollars to buy ownership in over a thousand rental properties, and then, once he acquired ownership, he started evicting tenants left and right – all for the "crime" of not paying rent!  How bizarre is that?  When Sean Hannity invested millions of dollars in rental properties, he actually expected the tenants to pay rent to him!

Liberals, of course, know that this is immoral and scandalous – the economic equivalent of keeping a "brown slave" like Eric Schneiderman or sexting while babysitting like Anthony Weiner.

Here's what the intrepid business experts at the WaPo uncovered:

[A] Washington Post analysis shows that managers at Hannity's four largest apartment complexes in Georgia have taken an unusually aggressive approach to rent collection.  They have sought court-ordered evictions at twice the statewide rate – in a state known for high numbers of evictions and landlord-friendly laws – and frequently have done so less than two weeks after a missed payment.

All good points!  Rental properties like Hannity's are exactly the same as all other rental properties in Georgia, therefore the eviction rate should be exactly the same.  The WaPo knows this because, well, it just does is!

"...they get tired of dealing with the asinine LAWS that force them to “deal” with deadbeats, rather than tossing them out as is perfectly moral to do..."

Exactly.

Accused of non paying tenants? Really?
Non payment of rent is not unexpected for many Liberals because they believe free housing is a basic human right.
Maybe Sean shouldn’t rent to liberals.

Right. They make it sound like Hannity is sending a letter on his own letterhead, then knocking on their door to evict these people.

If you don’t make payments, you SHOULD be evicted. We live in a crazy world.

A friend of mine owns a lot of rental properties. He makes more money as a mortgage broker by encouraging his best tenants to become homeowners.

I found out that most local banks get their commissions from brokers after they do the preliminary bureaucratic stuff like run credit checks. When several local banks turned up their nose at us or made us lousy offers, we went to him and got a 2.75% APR, 15 year rate from an out of state bank.

The funny thing about the renters he evicts is how much stuff they leave behind like up to date electronics. Of course, he does the honest thing and calls the rental places to pick them up, but much of them are owned. Plenty of money for a 60" flatscreen, but not $400 to pay the rent.

california is a state in which the landlords are assumed wrong. All rights to the renter. I had three rentals and got rid of them soon as I could.

I own apartments and if the renters don’t pay then they’re considered squatters. I’ve evicted several for this reason. Business is business.

Being a landlord is a terrible job. Why he would get involved in this stuff is beyond me.

My husband and I must be real monsters. We evicted renters who actually did pay their rent. They were doing other things that necessitated evicting them. Excuse me while I go self flagellate for all the guilt I am suffering right now.

Okay, I’m done. Guess I don’t feel so guilty after all.

When will we see the articles on the immorality of the auto repo business?

Rental Justice:
* POC tenants - 6 months of non-payment before starting eviction
* Whitey tenants - 1 week of non-payment and YER OUT!

You know it’s coming.

You really cannot just make this stuff up. We are in a survival war with hate driven sociopathic loons, who fancy themselves as humanitarians.

They aren't!

Clearly you don't know how the game is played. First, get a sun tan and some dreads. Then find a sympathetic SJW chick at the store. Start prattling on about "reparations...ya know what I mean? nome sayn?" and bingo, the free beer is yours...

Well for one, despite the mortgage crisis circa 2008 to 2010, Real Estate has been one of the BEST LONG TERM investments for those who have the money (in the right location).

As Mark Twain said — Land is a good investment, they’re not making any more of them...

Hannity needs some smarter property managers, doesn’t he? Why do they keep re-renting to the same deadbeats only to evict them again and again?

Well, of course, I speak as someone who has had at least 2 debacles with real estate, lol. May be heading for my third if I can’t unload this house! Every time I hear Scarlett O’Hara going on about the “land” I want to throw something at her.

WaPo will be feeling betrayed and bewildered once again as tgey learn that evicting tenants who dont pay rent is considered good. It’s kind of what the 2016 election was all about

Last week trump sent out an email inquiry - what is the highest priority on trump supporters’ agenda

A few days later he’s zeroing in on DHS for not securing the border

Get a clue everyone.

I only know how to answer from my experience. I have a rental house 10 miles south of Atlanta. Every one of the 4 families that we’ve rented to have been white.

Two of them were good tenants for the most part.

But the last two out of the four damaged my house in ways you would have to see to believe, outside and inside.

One of the renters tried to build a “pond” on the property by rerouting a spring. He was the same one that rebuilt engines on the expensive living room carpet and gave away furniture that went along with the rental. We even caught one of their relatives removing a glass exterior door from the mudroom after the tenant was evicted.

You got that right. I tried my hand at it...briefly.

Let's just say that's where I learned that no good deed goes unpunished. I also learned that apparently some tenants deem no hot water worthy of a 3am phone call.

I recently purchased a new home and I'm now trying to sell my current home. It was suggested to me that I rent it out and wait for the housing market to come back up.

No way! I'd rather let that house sit empty for a while than to take on renters.
