I don't see where we disagree. The Dems had a huge turnout and the Reps fell on their face. You can attribute the lack of turnout to the MSM, but the Reps made the mistake of nominating a bad candidate. Mo Brooks was my choice and he came in third. I blame the result on the Reps, not the MSM and dirty tricks by the Dems.

Hillary lost because she was a lousy, lazy candidate. And she had the MSM on her side.

We’re still disagreeing. Moore would have won without the MSM lying through their teeth on the young women/girls tears and false outrage.

For myself, I looked through that just as I had the Trump “pussy-grab” kerfuffle. It was the media out of control, not the candidate.

Maybe I should have reported more often about it, but I’m known (in real life) as a fairly political and outspoken person, and did meet up with various people I know who I’ve talked politics with over the times.

The ones that are very religious... I’m not sure you have these like we do in Alabama, but I mean the type that go to bible study every Wednesday, all day Church on Sunday (go home for lunch and then back at 5:00 0r 6:00 PM)... Who always make a big point of praying, talking about Jesus, ask you on first meeting “What church do you go to?”, etc. These folks were the biggest disappointment to me.

That’s because they were all so happy to support Roy Moore over the 10 Commandments rock in the Supreme Court thing 10 years ago, fussing over it, seeing him in campaign after campaign spewing those religious dog whistles, etc. Well, I asked so many, “So, did vote (yesterday, two days ago, last week, two weeks ago, etc., etc.)?

9 out of 10 did NOT. They all had excuses. They all bitched about the media. BUT, the media’s sexual accusation campaign worked.

Without it, most of these people (more women then men) would have voted for Moore.

You can bank on it.

Moore was not a bad candidate for Alabama. He sure talked the talk for the Religious Right. And he kept getting elected, even when he was shown the door.

But all that had a price. People believed he had sinned with those girls, or wasn’t telling the truth, and the gossip did him in as much a Jim Baker, Tammy Faye and Jimmy Swaggart. Look how fast they were dumped once the truth hit.

The problem with Moore, was, even if he did it, I didn’t care, but my view is a minority view here.

I am a Catholic, and I still ally with the Religious Right, but sometimes they can be the biggest hypocrites!
