Whitehouse is the guy who beat Chafee back in 2006.

So if Chafee wins, he will have held office in Rhode Island as Republican Senator, Independent Governor, and Democrat Senator. I assume he has made the transition to full on socialist since Bernie Sanders’ supporters are urging him to run.

So what's this addled wackjob gonna do, try to run to the LEFT of marxist Whitehorse in the primary and claim to be the "true progressive" after he spent the 2006 election swearing up and down that he was a "centrist" and "middle of the road" despite his leftist voting record?

Whitehorse would just hit back with slew of negative campaign ads featuring old clips of Chaffee pretending to be a "proud Republican" and casting token "pro-Bush" votes when he was a member of GOP caucus, and demonize Chaffee as a "right-winger"

Get your popcorn ready. I personally would enjoy Chaffee getting slaughtered again. I can't imagine anyone would buy that an ex-RINO Senator is the "true progressive" in the race. Even brain dead RAT voters aren't THAT stupid.

I have little trouble believing Missing Linc is now on the far left and even worse than Whitehouse. If John Anderson could end up on the extreme left why can’t Linc, who had a much shorter path to get there?

I doubt he’ll get many votes though after his lousy tenure as Governor.

Bernie beat Hillary by a margin of 12%

But Linc will get pummeled

Missing Linc was the reason I endorsed Democrat pro-lifer Bob Weygand against him in 2000. I knew he was bad news from Jump Street, and he proved all that and more. I wasn’t a fan of his father, either, but I believe even John Chafee would be ashamed at how nutterballs his boy has gone.

BTW, how in the Sam Hill is he going to get to the left of Whitehouse ? Whitehouse has an impeccable Stalinist record across the board.

I could never endorse someone who would have made Ted Kennedy a committee chairman.

What did he do to his FACE?

I try not to make fun of people's looks when they can not help it but he looks like he got smacked with a shovel and then was badly rebuilt.

Sometimes voting for the RINO is worse. I stopped being an automatic vote for whatever vomitus is put forth by the GOP 20 years ago. I can’t vote for someone I have no respect for.

Mind you, I would not have voted for or endorsed Whitehouse in 2006. I’d have written in Stephen Laffey, who should’ve been the GOP nominee.

Staying neutral if you find both odious I can abide. Supporting a democrat who would install marxists in command of all committees I cannot, wegland is pro-life? Zippitydo dah, ain’t no pro-life legislation coming out of a D Senate so what does it matter. Do you endorse the mob if the police are corrupt? “D” = minus 10000 points

I knew Missing Linc was an ultraleft slimeball and had to go. It was as simple as that. These pukes cause more harm than good to us serving as Republicans. Chafee wasn’t right on ANY issue. Weygand was at least right on one, and he served a purpose for ridding the Senate of a treacherous weasel.

I agree with campaignPete R-CT and fieldmarshaldj.

Remember, Chafee just recently ran for President in the RAT primary as a "progressive" RAT candidate and got utterly crushed and ridiculed for it. His debate performance was widely panned and RAT voters had the highest unfavorable response to Chaffee. I think the turd couldn't muster more than 1% of the vote in a contested RAT primary. All the other RATs had to do is bring up his GOP voting record in the Senate and point out how it didn't line up with current rhetoric. Whitehorse would do the same. During his entire time in the Senate, Chafee constantly balked at being called a liberal and INSISTED he was a "centrist" and loyal "moderate Republican" who supported Bush (despite stabbing Bush in the back constantly). Just from Chaffee's "I'm a proud Republican" quips alone, the RATs have plenty of ammo to destroy him in a RAT primary. Chaffee will spend the entire campaign on the defense about how he "changed his mind" on various issues once he longer had to pretend to be a Republican.

Also agree on the late John Chafee. As much as a worthless RINO turd that guy was, even he would be embarrassed by his son's anctics lately, and a member of the Chaffee clan trying to make himself out to be a Bernie Sanders type communist. John Chafee may have been liberal and a Democrat at heart, but he would never stoop THAT low.

As for Linc Chafee vs. Bob Weygand, that's one of only two high profile statewide campaigns in recent memory where I can say with certainly that I would have supported the RAT nominee over the "Republican" nominee (the other is George Ryan vs. Glenn Poshard, where I DID support the pro-life, pro-gun RAT nominee over the scumbag "Republican" and I'm damn proud of it, actually) Chafee has proven to be well to the left of Weygand, and did enormous damage while in the Senate.

The RAT attack ads against that douchebag Chafee in the primary election would be hilarious...

::extreme closeup of photo of Lincoln Chafee in the same room as George W. Bush:::

"Do you support EXTREME RIGHT-WING BIBLE-THUMPING JUDGES? BUSH REPUBLICAN LINCOLN CHAFEE DID.

::ominous music::

BUSH REPUBLICAN LINCOLN CHAFEE WAS SO COMMITTED TO GEORGE BUSH'S REPUBLICAN AGENDA that he actually voted to CONFIRM BUSH'S HAND-PICKED CHIEF JUSTICE JOHN ROBERTS

::even scarier music::

Chafee was only stopped from rubber stamping MORE Bush judges when Sheldon Whitehouse defeated him for re-election.

But now, Lincoln Chafee claims to be... a "progressive Democrat"? Can you trust Lincoln Chafee? About as well as you can trust George Bush's weapons of mass destruction!

Put Lincoln Chafee back in the Senate, and you just KNOW he'll go right back to rubber stamping MORE Republican judges, and this time... it will be... TRUMP JUDGES!!!!

::hysterically scary music::

Say no to Trump judges. Say no to Lincoln Chafee.

Paid for by People to Elect Sheldon Whitehorse."

Read Stephen Laffey’s book. A regurgitation of conservatism. Remember it’s R.I. He is an adult and would be more suited to run for Gov. No hope for conservatives in the senate from there. Wasted effort.

Rhode Island politics makes Massholestan politics look orderly and functional by comparison. What a farce. Chaffee is a total vinegar & water cleaning solution.

Surprisingly, Rhode Island gun laws aren’t too bad; WAAAAAYYYYYYYY better than MA, for example.
