No-go zones are growing rapidly in the suburbs of all of France's main cities. Shanty towns built by illegal migrants from Africa and the Middle East have sprung up in parts of Marseilles and Paris in the last few years. Islamization is everywhere. In hundreds of mosques, imams deliver fiery anti-Western speeches. Churches are vandalized. The number of rapes is rapidly increasing. Groups of veiled women roam the streets and insult the "immodest", unveiled, women.
Macron's most important project since he was elected has been the creation of new Islamic institutions destined to adapt France to Islam -- not to adapt Islam to France. Many more mosques will be built, financed with taxpayer money; departments of Islamic culture will open in universities, and imam training centers created.

During the colonial era, Islam in French Algeria was exempted from the 1905 separation of church and state, and no one at the time imagined that one century later, 5 million Muslims would live in France.

Americans like to think we have a bond with Europe because so many of us see ourselves as English, Irish, German etc., they don’t see us that way.
Depends on how you define ally. If it means friend through thick and thin, none of continental western europe is an ally.If you mean lip service friend who takes all the benefits of a friendship and provides none, then they are a true ally. I like to think of them as acquaintances whom occasionally you have to give the back of your hand to remind them you do not need them. That is the reality.
It means nothing to me anymore. Their actions speak much louder and we need to move on from what was into what is.

Parliamentary systems are tricky when it comes to representation. I’d say that the referendum to leave the EU is more representative of the people’s true sentiments, and those sentiments would extend into Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland despite the left’s claims that they voted to “remain”.
The Tories’ shift left happened even before Churchill. Thatcher fell prey to their pro-EU left-wing proclivities in the early 1990s too. It’s really sad.
This time around, Germany gets to KEEP France.

No, they are not our allies. They absolutely haven’t been since Charles de Gaulle took France out of NATO in 1959 and unloaded the mess that became Vietnam on us.
They’ve surrendered to the Islamists as quickly as they surrendered to the Nazis.
Central and Eastern Europe should not be mixed in with the effete and suicidal Western Euro’s. Hungary, Poland, Czechia and Slovenia (plus others) do NOT believe in subjecting their peoples to rape and murder at the hands of muslims just to fill their pockets with money. We need to strengthen our ties to the countries that resist islamofascism.
