AMEN. How lucid were his votes as the cancer progressed? Wouldn’t wish this illness on anyone, but at some point you have to acknowledge your thoughts on various matters in Congress could be impaired, and you should resign or be told by party leaders to resign. I recall, Strom Thurmond, I think, and even Ted Kennedy, being wheeled in to Congress on gurneys to vote. Ridiculous. Term limits need put in place pronto, maybe even age limits, and definitely medical limitations involving medications where people can’t perform at their best.
