It is obvious that someone doesn’t want to know who the rapist was.

My opinion is that the authorities have a substantial DNA database created as a result of the sampling done during the booking process. It would be a simple task to cross-check the rape evidence against the DNA database for matches. The results would, in my opinion, implicate many perpetrators who have been arrested for other crimes. Statistically, this could potentially result in the prosecution of many African-American males.
